NStQ Building For Our Future

As we near the end of our journey to an NStQ Treaty, the Northern Shuswap Tribal Council and Northern Shuswap Treaty Society have reached maximum capacity in our current location. We are now seeking direction from all our members on what your needs and wants are for a new space that will serve everyone. We invite all of NSTQ to dream up a vision for a new government building by thinking about how it can best embody our culture, inspire our future, and serve the Nation’s needs from a functional and structural standpoint.

We’ve created a number of ways to participate:

Vision Boards

At each community office and at our NSTC office we have a collection of Vision Boards with images that represent our past, embody our land, and provide inspiration for a new government building. Stop by to see them and fill out one of our surveys to provide your thoughts.

Phone Interviews

With the help of our Community Coordinators, we’ll be calling as many of our membership as we can throughout September to ensure those who are staying safe at home can participate.

Virtual Meeting

We’ll be hosting a virtual Town Hall through FacebookLive where members can give their input and be entered into a prize draw! The date will be confirmed in the next few weeks so keep an eye out for updates on the NStQ Website and Facebook Page.

Questionnaire with a prize draw

Take the Questionnaire below and provide your comments about what you’d like to see and be entered to win one of three prizes!

Prizes Include

1st Prize – Birch basket, One Finger Gloves and beaded key chain
2nd Prize – Birch Basket, Moccasins with fur and $100 Save On More gift card.
3rd Prize – Leather Medicine Bag, $100 Save On More gift card.

If you experience any issues using the survey, click here to notify us and we will work to rectify the problem as soon as possible!
